Social Psychology is a crossing of psychology and sociology disciplines. Psychology is the mind and patterns of behavior of individuals, while sociology studies groups. Social psychology studies the interactions of individuals and groups: how and when individuals step out of groups, when individuals form groups. How groups influence an individual and vice versa.  This field is rapidly gaining attention and viability. With their own theories that explain behaviors, experts in this line are discernible from experts in the two originating fields and have contributed much to the study of humans.
